Ep. 38 – Ball For All

The crew is live from the Ball for All event where, along with the Vancouver Basketball Foundation, Vancouver Basketball, Jr. NBA, NightHoops, the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society and PNE, we celebrate inclusivity in basketball. On this episode, the guys talk about some of the great programs available for youth – Jr. NBA and NightHoops – the crew also talked about wheelchair basketball and how much fun and physical it can be. Last but not least, the boys go through each group of the FIBA World Cup of Basketball and pick their teams to advance from each group.

Ep. 33 – Dolphin Basketball Classic

The Rucker Park Tournament, the Drew League, the Venice Beach League, the Seattle Pro-Am, you’ve probably heard about these summer pro-am leagues but have you heard about the Dolphin Basketball Classic? On its 34th edition, the Dolphin gathers Vancouver’s top talent and manages to draw players from other provinces and even from Div 1 schools in the US for a fun two and a half day tournament while engaging with the local community. This is all the result of a group of hard working friends who 30+ years ago decided to start a tournament in their local park and this same group of friends is still the driving force behind the Dolphin Basketball Classic. Ep. 30 – Raptors Extravaganza with The Bryan Brothers

For our 30th episode, we decided to bring two special guests, Adrian and Jay Bryan from The Bryan Brothers podcast! Adrian and Jay joined Rod and Evans on a Raptors Extravaganza! The guys discussed all the major events from the Raptors season that led to the Championship. Ep. 20 – Grizzlies Chat with Christina Edgar and Hal Oreck

We’ve said it before but this time is 100% real, this episode is an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC. We were joined by two very special guests, Christina Edgar and Hal Oreck, both former Vancouver Grizzlies employees. Christina and Hal shared a ton of stories with us! Who was their favourite player in the Grizzlies, the behind the scenes at games, meeting other NBA superstars, getting bumped in the head (by accident) by Shawn Bradley and more! Over the weekend we had the absolute honour to attend Night Hoops’ Skills Competition and Social Night where we got a chance to learn more about this fantastic organization and everything the Night Hoops crew does to positively impact the youth in Metro Vancouver through basketball. We had a great time with Kat, we asked her more details about her passion for basketball, her favourite shoe growing up, favourite Grizzlies player, her favourite WNBA player and more.

We also asked Kat about her motivation behind Finding Big Country, her introduction at the Vancouver Film Festival, and we even made a case for Kat to be part of the organization once the Grizzlies come back to Vancouver!
