The Weekly Dime – Episode 66 – The Lakeshow wins!

If you ever thought Rod talked about the Lakers too much during previous episodes well, get ready because on this episode he makes sure that Raf and the world know that the LA Lakers are, once again, the NBA Champions.
On this episode, Rod and Raf review the NBA Finals, the uphill battle the Heat had in front of them, LeBron’s amazing performance, AD’s versatility, Markieff’s blown pass, Danny Green getting death threats, and more. The duo also chat about Skip Bayless’ tweets on Lebron, will AD re-sign with the Lakers, and the boys give their waaaaaay too early predictions for next season.

The Two Cents Show – Ep. 06 with Craig White

We had an absolutely awesome time chatting with creator, artist, and co-founder of @thatniquelife, Craig White!

We spoke to Craig about the best and worst NBA jerseys, logos (never create and NBA logo on Canva, kids!), his favourite sneakers, his work as a designer, his process, and where he draws inspiration from.

The Weekly Dime – Ep. 56 – The ISO edition with Blake Poritz

On this week’s edition of The Weekly Dime we are joined by commissioner and coach of RBL Basketball, Blake Poritz! On the first half of the show we talked about the growth of youth basketball in Vancouver, the effects of COVID-19 on basketball players and what kind of activities we can all do to keep active, and practice dribbling, shooting, etc.
On the second half of the show, we talked about the 2020 class of the Hall of Fame that includes Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Tamika Catchings and a few legendary coaches. We then discussed which player (from any era) would we pick for a HORSE tournament, who we think is best ISO player ever, and which NBA players (active and retired) would we like to spend quarantine with.

The Two Cents Show – Ep. 02 with J.E. Skeets from No Dunks!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Clipper bros and Beantown boys, you’re in for a treat this week. On the second episode of the Dropping Dimes’ Two Cents Show, we had the chance to talk with one and only, J.E. Skeets from the No Dunks podcast on The Athletic!
On the first section of the show, we got to know Skeets a bit more from a basketball perspective, his favourite shoes, his first jersey, etc. We then talked about Canada Basketball and the chances of Team Canada making it to the Olympics and the current class of Canadians in the NBA. We also asked Skeets some questions about his Toronto Raptors and played a little game called “Why can’t we be friends”.
Close to the end of the show, we followed up with Skeets on the No Dunks Squad episode and asked him if he had the chance to have a new NBA franchise in Vancouver what would he name the team, what the uniform might look like, what concession stand item would be sold in the arena and who would be the celebrity ambassador.

The Weekly Dime – Ep. 55 – COVID19 & The Sixth Man

All of our lives have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and as we all go through these uncharted times, we will try to entertain you by providing basketball content in your lives. On the first virtual episode of the Weekly Dime, Rod, Raf, and Evans discuss the impact the virus took on the NBA and potential scenarios for when the NBA might be able to resume. The guys also discuss the movie, The Sixth Man, with Marlon Wayans and Kadeem Hardison.
